In Saran, the body of a young man who had gone from home to get medicine for his mother was recovered from the railway track. The father of the deceased has given a written application to the Railway Police stating that it was a case of murder of his son and demanding investigation. The police are now investigating the matter.
Dead body found on railway track
Regarding the incident, the Railway Police said that the GRP recovered the body of a youth in a suspicious condition late in the evening from the railway track at the eastern end of platform number one of Ekma station on the Chhapra-Siwan railway section of the North Eastern Railway. Shortly after the passing of the Awadh-Assam Express train, some people saw the dead body of the youth on the railway track and informed the station master. On receiving the information, GRP police sub-inspector Ramlal Yadav and constable Vijay Kumar Sah took the body in their possession and searched it, during which, from the documents found in the youth’s pocket, he was identified as Ranjit Singh, son of Ratneshwar Singh, resident of Gobarhi village of Daudpur police station area. 25) After that, GRP and RPF informed about the incident by calling the family members of the deceased.
